Charity Day - West v Prestwich Heys

Charity Day - West v Prestwich Heys

As part of their charity's 75th anniversary celebrations, the Manchester branch of CISV (see here) are hosting a 'Charity Day' at West v Prestwich Heys this Saturday, 11th April.

CISV is an active organisation in over 70 countries around the world and the Manchester branch meets in Chorlton once a month.

At the Prestwich Heys game they will be collecting for the Oasis Centre and Reach Out To The Community in Chorlton. Both charities support people in our communities and any donations you can make will be massively appreciated.

CISV will have a stall set up near the main entrance on Saturday where you can drop off the following items for the above charities:
  • clothing (particularly men's clothing);
  • toys and bric-a-brac; and
  • non-perishable grocery items for their emergency food bank.
If you're in a position to donate, please do so to support these excellent Manchester-based charities. And whilst you're at the stall, make sure you have a chat with the kids and parents from CISV who will be helping out. They are keen to offer West fans a small insight into what CISV does and the opportunities that it can offer to young people in our community. Alternatively, have a look at their website which is linked at the top of this page.

Thank you to Stuart Wilson for organising this initiative, and thank you in advance for any donations that you can make.
